I am Mara, a passionate ceramist dedicated to every aspect of the production, management, and artistic creation of stoneware ceramic products.
From designing and crafting each unique piece to handling business operations and customer relations, I ensure that every item reflects the highest standards of quality and creativity.
The Myuras project was born at the beginning of 2021 in a small home studio where I started creating and modeling ceramics. The need was to escape from the digital world (which takes up most of my time) to start getting my hands dirty and create something material.
Modeling ceramics overwhelmed me. The love for this profession leads me every day to experiment with new techniques, textures and different glazes. I love all the processes of creating an object, from design to glazing before the second firing. All items are fired at high temperatures to make them super strong and very durable.
My background in the world of design (because it is web design and UX design that I mainly deal with) contributes every day to making all my pieces clean and essential and to always seek an evident visual balance.
My passion for ceramics stems from the combination of art, craftsmanship, and functionality. Every piece I create is the result of a meticulous process that begins with an idea and materializes through various stages of handcrafting. Stoneware, with its robustness and versatility, allows me to create unique items that not only beautify daily life but also enrich it with an artistic touch.
My project reflects my dedication and love for this ancient art. I personally oversee every stage, from design to modeling, from firing to glazing, as well as managing my workshop and selling my products. I firmly believe that the art of ceramics can transform the ordinary into something extraordinary, and I strive to share this vision through my creations.
